Working Paper on Telemetry and Diagnostic Data, 7-8 June 2023
The purpose of this document is to formulate recommendations on limiting the impact of diagnostic or telemetry data collection and processing on privacy and data protection. The document analyses issues related to this data in the context of operating systems and applications for mobile devices and computers, as well as in services implemented in an organisation's IT infrastructure. It provides guidance on how to balance the interests of suppliers and developers with users' privacy rights.
